Homes that change hands

Converse has a lot of starter homes and a lot of rentals, and both change hands often. When a house sells, the closing often leaves a garage the seller never emptied and a shed with a rusted grill in it. When a rental turns, there is a bedroom set and a couch the tenant did not want to move. We get a photo from the agent or the landlord and it is gone before the next showing.

Curb pickup here follows the city cycle, and in a busy subdivision the pile can sit for weeks waiting on it. A truck that comes on a set morning and takes it from the garage is usually the simpler answer, and it keeps the neighbors from adding to the pile.

Everyday pickups

Most Converse calls are one or two items. A mattress after a new bed. A washer that quit. A treadmill that has been a coat rack for a year. Our two person crew handles those in a short stop, and we price them by what fits on the truck.

Backyards here are small, so a dead hot tub or a broken play set takes up the whole yard. We cut and carry those out through the side gate, which is a standard job for us in this part of the county.
