How an estate cleanout runs

An estate job starts with a walk through. You show us what stays and what goes, and we look at how full each room is so the quote covers the whole house. On the day, we work one room at a time. Photos, documents, jewelry and anything that looks like it matters go in a box for you to check, even if you told us the room was all trash.

Furniture in good shape goes to donation. Working appliances go to a reuse partner. Books, clothes and household goods get sorted for a thrift partner. The rest goes on the truck. Most houses take one day with a full crew, and larger homes in Alamo Heights or the older neighborhoods off Broadway can take two.

Working with families and agents

Many of these calls come from an adult child who lives out of town, or from a real estate agent who has a listing date. We can work from a key in a lockbox, send photos as each room clears, and let you approve the keep box before it leaves. You do not have to be there, though many people want to be for the first hour.

If the house is going on the market, we also clear the yard, pull dead patio furniture, and empty the garage so it shows clean. Rental owners in Converse and Universal City use us the same way between tenants, when a unit gets left full and the next lease starts soon.
