What a furniture pickup covers

Most furniture calls in San Antonio start with one big piece. A sectional that came in through a window, a sleeper sofa nobody can move, a king mattress and box spring after a new bed arrived. We send two people who have carried these through tight hallways in Alamo Heights bungalows and up three flights in Stone Oak apartments, and they bring the dolly and the straps.

The city's bulky item collection does pick up furniture, but it runs on a cycle and there are rules about what can sit at the curb and for how long. If your pickup week already passed, or your HOA does not allow a pile out front, we take it the same visit and the curb stays clear.

Where the furniture goes

A lot of what we haul is still good furniture. Clean sofas, solid wood dressers and dining sets go to donation partners around San Antonio before anything else. Mattresses have their own rules and cannot be donated, so those go to a facility that breaks them down for the steel and foam.

Anything that is stained, broken or water damaged goes to the transfer station. We sort on the truck as we load, so you do not need to separate the pile ahead of time. If you want a donation receipt for the good pieces, tell us when you book and we will ask for one.
